May want to stay away from any hotel on Le Jeune, which is very close to the airport.

Here's an inn-keeper confirmed tip on getting cheaper hotel rates:

Step 1: go to Hotels.com and locate the rate for the hotel you want to stay

Step 2: Call up the hotel and ask for them to beat Hotels.com's rate in exchange for you booking directly with the hotel. Hotels pay Hotels.com commissions for bringing businesses to them, so they are often willing to provide you with a reduced rate to by-pass paying a commission to hotels.com.

Getting to the Wedding Ceremony & Reception

There is a $1.50 toll for getting on the bridge to go to The Rusty Pellican. Complimentary valid parking at the restaurant.

Things to do in Miami

vizcaya museum and gardens - low key, very relaxing - think opposite of South Beach

Bayside (restaurants on the waterfront) - very busy outdoor market & eclectic boutiques.
